| Furano is the only ski area in Japan to have local volunteer Ski and Snowboard Mountain Guides who meet guests from Japan and all over the world to show them their mountain and to tell guests about the restaurants, bars, museums and galleries and all the events and activities on in Furano.
Locals give their time to assist international skiers visiting this area by meeting them at the base of the lifts and then showing them around the mountain according to the ability of the guest. Meeting a local, travellers are able to ask advice about sightseeing or even tips on the culture and ‘how to …’ questions.
Guides will be able to show you where to get lunch and explain about closing times for all the lifts. Guides give up their time for the enjoyment of guiding you around, so please introduce yourself and enjoy a morning with them. Cost:

These tours are arranged for guests who would like to get on first lifts. If you miss the tour but would still like to meet and use a host you can. Please grab a host as they come past you in one of the runs or as they get onto one of the lifts. Guests are welcome and encouraged to use the hosts more than once if they so desire. Dates:
