Rise up to 1000m and float over Furano and close to the Taisetsusan Mountain Range. Everyone should have this experience at least once in their lifetime. At this altitude you'll often see diamond dust, which makes it appear as though thousands of diamonds are flying around you. On a clear day the views stretch over the fields and over many of the snow covered peaks.  

Ice Hole Fishing
Late of December – Middle of March

Try your luck fishing for pond smelt.
You can deep-fry your catch and some local mushrooms right there on the ice as you fish. It's always an experience to tell your friends about. Your guide will help you drill through the ice & relax in the beautiful surroundings, sitting on the lake fishing. It is not uncommon to see deer, foxes and other wildlife.

Back Country Ski & Snowbound (Nature Ski)

Depending on the fitness of you, our guest, we hike up or ‘skin’ up some of the beautiful peaks around Tokachidake and Furanodake. Guests are rewarded for their effort with an incredible view and spectacular ski back down the hill in pristine snow over some beautiful undulating terrain.  Non-telemark skiers will use snow-shoes to make walking through the powder as easy as possible. Alpine skiers can use heel detachable bindings for the walk up and then lock their heels in for the ride back down.

Night tour

Take a walk though the forests on the mountain at night. You'll see amazing night views with the sky clear & crisp views of the stars with no pollution and light interference. To finish, your guide will take you to a natural hot-spring you can bathe in the water bubbling up from the volcano.

Snow Mobiling

A number of different tours run with variances in the length of the course and also the size of the engine.
Enjoy the exhilarating experience of cruising on your own snowmobile along forest tracks with friends and family. Choose from a 3km, 10km, 30km or an 80km+ day tour along the longest snowmobile course in Hokkaido. A professional guide will accompany you and show you some of the most amazing mountain scenery. We are the only company to offer courses longer than 10kms. All tours provided in and around Furano are safe and well managed.

Trek through the beautiful natural surrounds on a pair of snowshoes. Wearing and walking with snowshoes is an experience in itself, add to this the incredible nature and you have the mix for a fun tour. Each tour is accompanied by one of our professional guides who will take you through the winter wonderland that is Furano and Rokugou. If you’re lucky enough you might happen upon deer or foxes as you wander over the mountains and hills. Drinks and snowshoes are provided.

Race around our snow course on our 4 wheel motorbikes or our custom built snow-carts. With speeds of up to 80 km per/hr possible you are in for one thrilling ride. Drift the bike or cart wide as you fly around the corners as you try to out-do your friends times on our 1km (3 laps) course – truly an awesome snow experience. All safety equipment is provided.

Dog Sledding is an incredible experience for anyone. The dogs are jumping and rearing to take you around the course at some top speeds and they will be bounding up and down ready as soon as they see the sled put into position for a run.

Hot spring Tour

Relaxing in an Onsen (Hot Spring) is an age-old Japanese tradition that all those who visit Japan should try at least once. Furano and the surrounding areas are dotted with natural volcanic and man-made onsen. Furano lies in the valley down from the volcano and as such has a number of volcanic streams running underground. Experience a journey through a snow-covered forest to a secret natural onsen nestled in the mountains or any number of hotel or small commercial onsen in the area. There you can sit back and relax and let the mineral rich volcanic waters sooth your body. Groups are kept to a maximum of 20 so that you can fully enjoy this experience.

Goto Sumio is one of Japan’s most influential artists and Furano is lucky to have his gallery located at the base of the volcano just outside of Kami Furano. This gallery combined with a dip in a beautiful onsen on the way home makes for a perfect day.
