Furano Cheese Festival

Just outside of downtown Furano, a cheese festival is held at the always popular cheese factory. The cheese factory is famous for the delicious varieties of cheese it produces along with the milk and ice cream and other foods based on these products.

A recommendation is the pumpkin ice cream and a small bottle of milk as the perfect treat in Furano.

The festival features live music with The Furano Brass Band performing on the grass in front of the Cheese Factory. A number of stores are scattered around preparing delicious snacks and selling some interesting souvenirs.

Please try you hand at butter making which you can partake in at the cheese factory for free.
